Drobo

I’m checking out Drobo for the Mac group at the office (as a substitute for a TimeCapsule).  I signed up for the webinar section to learn about the features.  There’s two major problems: the video player readjusts my browser size, but I think that’s because it’s trying to open a pop-up window and Firefox won’t let it.  The second problem, the narrator is slow!!!  And there’s no “skip ahead” feature or 2x speed button.

It does look promising, and a loaded setup (Drobo + DroboShare + 6TB) is around $900 which is cheaper then most NAS devices and will be simple enough for the Mac group to use.  Plus it looks shiny and cube-y.  They’ll love that more…
